This was the compulsory reading for a module I've taken in university, and I did enjoy my reading sessions - the chapters were seldom a chore to get through. It is interesting to note that while a huge chunk of the book seems like common sense fitted into technical terms or phrases, I did emerge as a better communicator, albeit only by a modest amount.

Pretty good for a college textbook. It really gives a good perspective on the basics of human communication- verbal/nonverbal, interpersonal and intrapersonal, and even communication within organizations.

Again, I read this book since it's obligatory for one of my college's courses since I'm majoring communication right now. I have to say, it's pretty good. I like how Wood gives examples from cases experienced by various kinds of people.

Somewhat useful book. I emerged as a better communicator, albeit by a moderate margin.
