The Secret Torture Memos: Bush Administration Memos on Torture as Released by the Department of Justice, April 16, 2009 Reviews
Reading and analyzing this as a literary text; use of second person narrative, purpose of repetition, choice of word placement, manner of characterization, etc. al. Classic unreliable narrator(s) in this epistolary story, textbook display of avoision on the part of the protagonists, and ultimately, an amazing job in creating one of the most unbelievably believable rationalizations in the history of the philosophy/literature/human history.3/5 stars for style.5/5 for logos manipulation (worthy of Burroughs, Dick, or Kafka).1/5 for anti-hero villainy; without taking credit for the job done, it's difficult to appreciate the protagonist's evil doings.
