The Art of Botanical Drawing: An Introductory Guide Reviews
This book is so beautiful. I was genuinely so surprised by its wonderful drawings but I wasnt sure it could help me. I am so pleased it has. Its a truly lovely book and the drawings have made me to feel so close to nature and improve my drawing skills and inspiration.
Absolutely love this book!! The work is so beautiful, there is a lot of excellent info on botanical drawings, and how to paint them - mainly using watercolour. I also really liked the design layout of the book - but that's the graphic designer in me talking, you might not care for it.I wouldn't considering it a beginners book, therefore all the steps aren't listed. However I still found it fascinating as horrible as I am at watercolour. :)
This book is not a beginner watercolour instruction book, so be aware of that when purchasing the book. However, this is a beautiful book to look at even if you are not interested in painting. I have drawn and painted the pear and it looks exactly like the one in the book and I have my sights set to do the garlic braid next. I am happy with the purchase.
This book is very thorough and helpful, mostly about watercolouring. I love the art of botany and now I feel like I could give it a good shot.
I love to draw and someday I'll learn watercolor.
Great pages, beautiful colours and inspiration. Could use more infomation on technical drawing.
Steps to realistic flora drawings using watercolor, ink and pencil.Special instructions for petals, stems, bulbs, vines, etc.
