brielle and the alien geek intergalactic brides 1 Reviews
Brielle and Syl. Not sure what to make of this one. I liked the main characters but there was no real arc to the story. More like an odd sequence of events that led to a less than satisfactory ending. I still liked it though and would read more by this author. Brielle is down on her luck and goes to a distant planet as a 'mail order bride'. She has a set time period to accept one of the alien men she meets as a husband/mate. Syl is a scientist who lives in the same building and although they both feel drawn to each other he is rather shy. I love shy sexy geeks so I was all amped for this story. Just as they are finally connecting, there is an accident in the lab and then all kinds of bureaucratic red tape ensues and bogs down the tale. It's all loosely connected but had a kind of half baked feel to it with lots of extraneous loose ends. I was left feeling kinda like justice hadn't been served at the end.-shrug-
This is a very quick story. Not too meaty or sex-intensive. Which I prefer but still a nice quick and different read!
A wonderful surprise! There were a couple things that made me hesitant to buy this book. I hadn't read anything by this author before. I was also a little leary of my ability to get invested in the story because of the length; and then there was the pretty high cost to length ratio that really made me thin twice about buying. I am so glad I decided to give it a shot! I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next one in the series. It is a short read, but it really drew me in and had me rooting for the couple. This is a wonderful light, quick read that I definitely recommend!
How adorableThis was the cutest book ever and such a sweet love story! I just wanted to cheer for the guy he was so nice it was a book with a nice guy finally got the girl...... the nerd got the girl. Whoever said nice guys always finish last didn't know what they were talking about......
Good storyThis was a sweet story. It showed that sometimes nice guys finish first!!! I just wish the story was longer or maybe an epilogue would have helped. I will certainly will read other books by this author.
Out of this world love storyWhat an adorable story. Right off the bat you fall in love with Brielle. She is feisty, honest and blunt. You fall in love with her and once you meet Sly you fall again. Won't give away the story but to suffice to say you'll enjoy this Love story.
2.5 starsNot a bad read, it just seemed a bit lacking in teeth...grit. Its sweet with a little bit of angst but not a great deal of depth. With just ten chapters it's a quick read, so if you are in the mood for a light sci-fi read, you've found it.
I enjoyed this sweet romance... These are like fairly tales with a dash of sex in them . Like a potato chips you just can't read one . Read two in a day started the third in middle of the night.
This is a good story. I was almost put off by the cover.
