I'm not a big fan of ambiguity which abounds in this book. The single POV is thrice depressing & not even painfully good as most angst ridden 'tomes' are.The book reads like the diary of a downtrodden wife.Maybe the husband's point of view & the cheating that he engages in which is hinted at but we as a reader are never directly exposed to would have elevated the misery that pervades the atmosphere of this novel.I could merge with no player in this story as aforementioned the female lead was a creation of dullness, her husband's motives for his wild antics was obscure & the story ended up being the caricature of a bad soap opera.I like angst as much as the next reader does though not an entire book of it.
I really wanted to like this book. I loved Seeing Stars. The sequel was written by a different author. I went into it with an open mind. The writing seemed really mechanical at the beginning and the flow was all over the place. The sex scenes were mild. But I don't think I became emotionally invested at all with any of the characters this time. Alisa having daydreams about someone else and Logan going back to what he used to do. It really didn't make sense to me. They were my favorite characters from before. At times I felt like was watching a daytime soap opera. It felt like Alisa was going through a de ja vu. All the things that happened with her first husband. I expected more with Alisa and Logan. I wanted the passion again that was between these two characters. It was an ok read but I feel it could have been better....Lissa http://www.boundlessbookreviews.comhttps://www.facebook.com/BBReviews
What the hell happen to this book? I mean seriously? I thought they will get their happy ever after in this book. Maybe pop out a baby or two. Get more famous. Well...one of those things happened. They got more famous. But there was so much drama that it didn't need. I mean Logan really does need help with the drugs. I thought that their love will over come it but guess what...? It didn't. So when he sees his wife (that loves him ever much w/ another man which she didn't cheat on) he goes bad to drugs and cheats on his wife. Unbelievable!!! And he won't get help. AND the person he was cheating we find out in the last chapter she is now pregnant. The epilogue then shows and we still find out she is Mrs. that means she didn't divorce him. She needs to grow a pair. She doesn't deserve this s**t. Now there will be another book that we didn't need. Wonder which next author is going to s**t it up more.
Krys took some fun interesting twists with Alisa's new Hollywood life. Those who like Seeing Stars will be enjoy this next chapter in the Starstruck Series.
