Ok I'm not sure how to do my review for this book! I dot want to guess stuff away but it might be hard! I got this book for an honest review. So we first meet Keira and she is picked as the big fan and meets this band, she didn't want to be there but went for her best friend. I'll tell my thoughts on her- she was a little childish, I understand that she had a bad thing happen to her but she should have seen Landon for what r was. And all he was was a jerk and made me sick. I'm glad there wasn't much of him. At times she was very strong but other times she was scared and it confused me. She made a lot of good jokes! Then we meet nick, I love him. He seemed like a play boy but wasn't, he took care of Keira when she needed help even after there misunderstanding he said he was sorry and far him self to her, she told her big tale of heartache and it made me sad for her, and I thought they would end up happy together but no no no we get a huge twist that I didn't expect! And damn if I don't need the next book now!The wroteing was good, yes there was quite a few typos but they don't bug me at all. The heat in this book rocked and it wasn't a first chapter love and I was greatful for that. It wa a good paced story with all the twists and turns and I can't wait for book 2!Also I NEED Greg's story like now! I truly hope he gets one!!! He is awesome!!!!!

Sometimes you're right where you think you're supposed to be. Good job. Nice boyfriend. Great best friend. And then BAM! Something happens and your whole world turns upside down. That happens to the heroine, Keira, in this story. She was living life. The life she thought was right for her. When Keira meets Nick, it's not love at first sight. But there's a point when you really get to see how people just ....connect. There is a tangible feeling of connection between the two people. Now I'm not one for spoilers so don't get excited. But everyone has a past. Some far worse than others. This past molds you into the person you are today. Sometimes the past comes back to haunt you. What do you do then? Don't think on this one. Just read. I'm so happy I dove head first into this story and made them apart of my life for the past few days. Now.. onto book #2!!!!!

I have to say I was not sure what I was going to be getting but this story took my by surprise. The first few chapters were like Okay, where are we going here, but I didn't stop and I can say I was very pleased to have not stopped. Keira drove me nuts in a different way, Nick captured my heart right from the start and Greg well I loved him and want him for myself, Jamie the BFF was a crazy loon and you will love her as well. Now working up to the ending you knew something was going to happen, and what was that something? You had to carry on until the very last sentence. I am looking forward to book two Destroyed and can't wait to see what unfolds for everyone. Thanks agaon R.K. for letting me be apart of this journey. :)

Keira wins a contest to meet with a top Heavy Metal band. A few days of band life, pictures, parties, the guys! OH yeah!! But Keira could care less about it. Her bestfriend, Jamie made her sign up. It was really Jamie would wanted to be there. But Keira and the guys bond over her normal-ness and not seeing them as just a piece of meat. Keira’s current boyfriend, Landon isn’t happy with her traipsing all over the globe, she needs to be at home, where she belongs! It soon becomes apparent to everyone that Landon is a control freak jerk and she is better off with out him. When Keira goes home, things aren’t always greener on the other side. Jamie and her fiancee break up, the band stops by for a visit and Landon, well he’s being a jerk again. Nick and Keira realize they like each other and sparks start to fly. For once Keira feels safe with Nick, cared for and loved, not controlled or used. Nick shares pieces of himself with her, that he has never shared with anyone else. Secret things. Keira shares herself with him too, things only Jamie knows. Their bond grows, their love grows. Then fate steps back in and her past is back terrorizing her. Can she keep the people she loves safe? Only if she pushes them away. The end is a cliff hanger and freaked me out! I thought everything would be nice and resolved in book #1 and then book #2 would be about another band member. Nope. Keira and Nick’s saga continues in book #2.I didn’t like Keira at first, she was too rude, too bitchy, but then I realized why. I didn’t understand how she could be so mean to the band, but to Landon she was a push over for those 5 years with him. Then she grew some balls and put him in his place. But he tried, man did he try to win her back. Dude, get a hint! Nick’s story had me crying, I felt terrible for him. He was a moody bastard too, locking people out, not talking. I’d have walked away from him too. But there was something about Nick, that pulled me back in. Not that he is a rock star or hot. I think because he understood Keira’s story to some degree and they could connect. His compassion towards her.

I don't usually write reviews, in fact, this is my first, but I felt like I had to since this book had a 4.11 star rating. It must have been reviewed by people who personally knew or were related to the author, because this book was definitely not worth the time it took to read. I have read over 550 books in the past two years, and not once have I not finished one. This one is my first.I found the book to be very amateur and immature. The story was weak and so were the characters. I have read many books that were not realistic, but were exciting and so well written that it was easy to overlook. I wish I could say that about this one. I managed to get through 71% of the book, but that was only because I was determined to finish it. Obviously, I just couldn't do it.Putting aside how much I disliked the story, there were errors in it that just drove me crazy. Like 'ruff' instead of rough, 'lite' instead of light, the constant use of 'um' instead of them, and typos like 'tap worm' instead of tape worm. It was so annoying to me. Once again, I could have overlooked that if the story and characters were good, but.... they weren't. I would not recommend this book to anyone. Life is too short and there are too many amazing books out there to spend time reading one that fell so short. I wouldn't waste your money.

**Received a copy in exchange for an honest review**'s a cliffhangerThis is the first book that I've read from this author. Although there were quite a few grammar errors, which usually bother me, for some reason it didn't take too much away from my ability to enjoy this story. I was blown away by her ability to portray the relationships between not only the lead characters but secondary characters as well. The humor in this book was great. Nick and Keira were a couple that I could relate to and became invested immediately. Nick's bandmates were hilarious. I can't wait to read Greg's story, he was such a least I hope Ms. Garmon has his story in the works. Overall I thought this was a really great read. One that I was unable to put down. It kept my attention from the first word on the first page to the very last word on the last page. If you like contemporary romance with a little heat and a lot of humor you'll want to pick this one up.

I liked the story arc and cliff-hanger of this book but some things let down as being a fun enjoyable read...First - I thought the prologue was unconnected to the story and unnecessary.Second - It took me a few too many chapters to become interested in the characters or their journey.Third - I spent too much time rereading paragraphs. For example: when the POV was changed to a different characters perspective or sentences where the information was the same just in different words. I'm not sure if that was a mistake or just the style of writing, in any case it was disruptive. Fourth - There was inconsistency between what was 'shown' and what was 'told'. For example: Standing in a hotel hallway so long Keira misses her plane, but not long enough for her to need anything for her blood nose. Nearly every time Keira and Landon had any contact, what they said and how they acted was contrary.Nevertheless I liked the comedy, band and supporting characters. I would definitely read 'Destroyed' to find out what happens next!

Kiera has been with Landon for years. He is a bully and arrogant. He's a busy doctor and his career keeps him busy, but he makes sure that he has adequate time to make sure he belittles Kiera. Kiera is on her way to LA for a meet and greet with a rock band, her friend Jamie won a contest but backed out and Jamie is going alone. She makes sure that she makes a horrible first impression because she has her reasons for not wanting to be in the public's eye and the studio wants pic of her with the band as her big winner...She ends up getting Nick, the lead singer's attention. They end up hanging around together, but when she leaves to go home, she doesn't expect to hear from him again. Wrong..As nasty as Landon is, she stays because he knows her secret and he makes sure to tell her how no one else would want her if they knew the truth about her. Nick makes sure she knows he is interested and just when it looks like things will work out her past catches up with her. This is a cliffy, but fortunately Destroyed, the sequel is out and you can jump right in!

I loved my first introduction to Keira, she won some contest to meet a rock band and when she shows up she is so unimpressed with this group that she just says what she thinks without any filter. Of course, this intrigued Nick, the lead singer in the band, someone that truly didn't want anything from him so he needed to learn more. The relationship is snarky, honest, and just fun between the two. Of course, Keira is hiding some deep pain (I knew this would be rough but WOW, I was completely surprised by that reveal) but so is Nick, when secrets do get revealed you find a much deeper connection between the 2 since they can relate so well to what lies beneath. I loved the supporting characters of the band members and Keira's best friend Jamie … all of the band members find some type of connection to Keira and in turn create a new type of family for her. Of course, as with all good things in Keira's world, it never appears to last. The cliff hanger is killing me right now … I have hope that with R.K. Garmon's help she will find her happy ending, she truly deserves it so onto book 2!

I really enjoyed this book which I received free in return for an honest review. The only thing that let it down in my opinion was the spelling and grammatical errors, which can be easily rectified if edited. Keira as the main character was a bit of a 2 sided individual in that she happily stands her ground and voices her opinion to Nick and the other boys whilst at the same time lets Landon walk all over her so easily and fails to challenge his unacceptable behaviour.I really enjoyed reading about the background of Nick and feel that the history of his relationship with the other boys could have been expanded on. This does happen in book 2, however where is the link to Evan? Will this be explored more in book 3?I loved the character of Greg and Would like to hear more about him and his exploits in another story.Jamie as a best friend ticks all the boxes in that she is the right level of crazy, supportive, encouraging and just mad!Thank you for letting me read and review.

Received for a honest review. Kiera was never one to enter a contest but when her friend convinced her -she won. She won a trip to meet the hottest rock band. A trip of a lifetime her friend said. After a lot of convincing Kiera went and all she thought about was when to leave. For some reason Nick doesn't want her to leave. As the lead singer he feels that finally he has meet someone who wants to know him. Nick and Kiera click most of the time. Kiera feels guilty for having fun and for leaving her boyfriend, Landon at home. Nick enjoys the banter one minute and is missing the next. Between Kiera's guilt and Nick's roller coaster moods swings we know both have a dark and sad past holding them back. Shattered is a tale of how to get over past fears and moving forward. It's about friendship and trusting in love. Most of all it's about what you would do for love... Now for the cliffhanger. Looking forward to seeing where Kiera & Nick's story goes next...

**This book was provided in exchange for an honest review**This is an amazing story of two tortured souls who met by accident, fall in love, and are continually driven apart by forces outside their control. Keira wins a contest to meet the band Soul Stained (she's entered by her best friend Jamie). She meets Nick who is the lead singer and begins a friendship with him and the other band members. They are not romantically involved because Keira has a boyfriend. When she returns from the trip, she breaks things off with her boyfriend who is very controlling and things progress with her and Nick. Just as things are going great, her attacker from the past comes back and threatens everything Keira loves. I'm anxious to find out what will happen to everyone in the next book. The story flowed beautifully. There were some minor grammar and spelling errors but they didn't detract from the story. I'm looking forward to future books by this author!

Absolutely fantastic, this book was addictive and I could not put it down. Keira wins a competition to see a rock band, the only trouble is she's not a fan of the band, her friend had put her up to it and now she can't get out of it. Little does she know that meeting the band is going to change her life and hopefully for the better. The band seems to adopt Keira and she especially has the attention of the hot lead singer Nick. The only trouble is they both have demons and many obstacles to face. Keira has had a rough few years and is stuck in a loveless relationship that she feels obligated to stay in, but can Nick persuade her otherwise, only time will tell. An absolutely fantastic book, enjoyed every bit of it, you will laugh out loud and be close to tears at times, this book takes you on an emotional journey.

A Rock star, a girl, you think you know where this is going, but, this book takes a different turn then your usual romance story. There is drama, misunderstandings and lots of sweets. our heroine owns a bakery. The band characters in this book were awesome, funny, arrogant, and just fun to read about, our hero besides being a rock star has a past that most wouldn’t dream of. Our heroine also has baggage but sadly she was not my favorite of characters, I felt she was way to wimpy, sure she’s had trauma but lots of people do and they survive and thrive I feel like saying she needed to grow a pair. I’m also not a big fan of cliff hangers, but having said that I’m looking forward to the next book to see how this story will play out and hope for good things for Nick and Keira.

Other than the typos and wrong use of words, I really enjoyed this book. Although I am getting kind of tired of the rape victims that seem to be the new thing for books, I really enjoyed this story. You cannot help but to wish for happiness and the happily ever after for these to main characters. I absolutely loved the wit and banter between all of the characters throughout this story you cannot help but fall in love with this family of rock stars and can only hope that Keira can work through her demons and accept the love this family has to offer her and learn to accept help from the people that truly love her.

I really, really liked this book. I loved the storyline about Kiera winning the contest and not even liking the band. She just wanted a get-away and she ended up falling in love. She has quick wit and the snappy comebacks had me giggling and her best friend plays just as big a part in this book as she does. I felt like I was right there with them all. I truly did love all the characters and that you got full disclosure on them all enough that I read it in one go and bought the second book. It had me hooked from the get go. Everything you want in a, laughter, crying, suspense and those...oh-no-you didn't moments.

Really enjoyed this book. Once I started it, I had a hard time putting it down. However, there needs to be some editing done. I understand the occasional error, but there were quite a few misspelling and grammar errors. Having to re-read a sentence multiple times to try to figure out what the author is trying to say is frustrating. Also, could have done without some of the childish name calling. The characters aren't 12 and I think it took away from their feelings for each other. Rather disappointed at the huge cliffhanger and no way to find out when the next book will be released.

Well if you can ignore grammar you might enjoy it's an incredibly dramatic tale of a broken girl who meets a broken (or should I say shattered) rock star and everything works out until--- an unnecessary cliffhangerBeyond the trite nature of the story was the inability to spell. Ruff is a noise a dog makes, rough is the word you were looking for. The lack of proof reading and the misunderstanding of common English phrases was difficult to ignore. I am not usually this harsh, especially with a free book but it was so pooh written I had to say something.

Wow, another book boyfriend! I'm in love, again. I love how she and Nick both opened up to one another and each can relate the the other one's demons. They are good for each other. I was so upset by the end of this. I knew things were going too well. However, I have hope, as I remember the phone call she overheard part of at the cabin. Okay, on to Destroyed. I have 45 minutes til my next class, so I may as well enjoy it. Maybe the kids will want a silent reading day, hmmmmmm...

I loved Nick, ! Keira bothered me a lot, but overall it wasn't bad.... At times felt it was slow paced.....Landon was an ass, and was immediately in your face, at least that's how I saw it, as he was rude to start off ........ But most importantly ............ I want to read Gregs book. It's nice and funny that you can read a book and love a 2nd or 3rd character better the the main ones. It happens a lot but in good ways :)

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well written and came to life for me. Although both main characters had baggage and the story covered some sensitive issues it did not put a dampener on the story. The only downside is the massive cliff hanger but I will be reading the next book.

Very talented up and coming author. This book will grab your attention and have you wanting to come back for more. It was very easy to get caught up in the story.
