    I read this collection of essays while studying continental depth psychology at Union Theological Seminary in New York. I no longer recall if it, or part of it, was required for a class or if my girlfriend had it--more likely the latter. In any case, gender studies and the feminist critiques of psychological theory were a substantial part of the psychology program at the school as well as a common topic of discussion among its students, most of whom were women at the time.
